BCB bringing customised helmets from India for NCL teams

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is taking several steps to make domestic cricket more professional and give each team its own identity. After introducing baggy caps, the board is now set to provide customised helmets to every team in the National Cricket League (NCL).

A BCB Tournament Committee official told Dhaka Post that the helmets will start being handed over to the teams from next week. The helmets are specially made abroad and will remain with the teams permanently.

The helmets will be supplied by India’s popular Shrey brand, which is widely used in international and domestic cricket. Many top players, including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul, use Shrey helmets.

Players will be able to replace their helmets if the size does not fit. New customised helmets will also be provided for players who join the teams in the future.

Through team-specific equipment, the BCB aims to give domestic cricket a more professional and distinct identity.
