Travis Head smashed a blazing 112 off 84 balls as Australia clinched the ODI series against Zimbabwe with an emphatic 84-run victory Friday (September 18).

Australia have taken the series. They were supposed to do so. And they have done so with aplomb.

Batting first, Australia posted a mammoth 356-6 in 50 overs. Head led the charge with 112 (84b), while Cooper Connolly and Peake played vital middle-order roles.

In reply, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 272 in 48.3 overs despite a spirited effort. Australia’s part-timers stepped up after a big fielder went down.
