The Chattogram Metropolitan South unit of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir honoured students who achieved GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent examinations at an “A+ Reception” ceremony at the Engineers Institution in Chattogram on Sunday.
About 1,500 students from various educational institutions in the city attended the event, which included guidance on higher education, career planning, ethics, leadership and skill development.
Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Central President Nurul Islam attended as the chief guest, while Maimunul Islam Mamun, president of the Chattogram Metropolitan South unit, chaired the ceremony.
Dr Kazi Md Barkat Ali, a professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the Chittagong University (CU), delivered the keynote address.
