BGCCI holds 24th AGM in Dhaka, reaffirms commitment to Bangladesh-Germany business cooperation

The Bangladesh-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) held its 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday at a city hotel.

Md Rokonuzzaman, FCA, President of BGCCI, presided over the meeting. In his address, he emphasized the importance of deepening trade, investment and industrial cooperation between Bangladesh and Germany, said a press release. 

He also reaffirmed BGCCI’s commitment to connecting German investors with credible Bangladeshi partners, supporting market entry and creating meaningful business opportunities for its members.

The AGM reviewed the Chamber’s activities, key initiatives and financial performance during the year. Members also discussed BGCCI’s future priorities, with particular emphasis on strengthening member services, facilitating investment and expanding business cooperation between Bangladesh and Germany.

The audited financial statements and audit report were presented by Adnan Md. Iqbal, Treasurer of BGCCI, who briefed members on the Chamber’s financial position and audited accounts.

The meeting highlighted BGCCI’s continuing role as an effective bilateral business platform, bringing together companies, investors, government authorities, diplomatic missions, development partners and other stakeholders.

Members underscored the importance of translating business dialogue into concrete trade, investment and industrial partnerships.

The AGM concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Md Farooque Khan, Senior Vice President of BGCCI. He expressed his appreciation to the President, Board of Directors, members and participants for their valuable contributions and continued support to the Chamber.
