Rain, gusty winds forecast for 7 dists by afternoon: BMD

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted temporary squally winds reaching speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour, accompanied by rain or thunder showers, in seven districts across the country by 1:00 PM today (Wednesday, September 23).
According to the inland river port weather warning valid until 1:00 PM, regions including Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, and Cox's Bazar are likely to experience temporary gusty or storm-like winds blowing from the west or north-west direction.
Inland river ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1.
Meanwhile, the 24-hour weather bulletin issued on Tuesday evening predicted light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty winds in many places over the Khulna, Barishal, and Sylhet divisions, and in some parts of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Chattogram divisions.
Moderately heavy to heavy rainfall is also anticipated at isolated places.
Mild heat waves sweeping over Rangpur, Dinajpur, and Saidpur districts are likely to abate, while day and night temperatures may drop slightly across the country.
