HSC exam results expected between Nov 7-15

The results of this year's HSC and equivalent examinations are expected to be published between November 7 and November 15, education officials said on Wednesday (September 23).

Professor Syed Akteruzzaman, Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board and President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, confirmed that result processing is currently underway to hit the mid-November target.

Written examinations began on July 2 and concluded on August 8, with practical exams scheduled through August 15. However, adverse weather delayed written exams under the Chittagong Education Board, extending its exam schedule to September 9. Additional examiners were deployed to Chittagong to prevent delays in the nationwide timeline.

A total of 1,270,583 students from 9,439 institutions sat for the examinations across 2,697 centers nationwide under 11 education boards.

Among the candidates, 1,069,714 sat for exams under nine general education boards across 1,626 centers. Meanwhile, 92,905 candidates took exams under the Madrasa Education Board across 461 centers, and 107,964 candidates sat under the Technical Education Board across 610 centers.

Dhaka Education Board recorded the highest turnout with 300,393 examinees across 310 centers. Candidate totals for other boards included 140,830 in Rajshahi, 117,210 in Jashore, 113,479 in Dinajpur, 99,688 in Chittagong, 94,802 in Cumilla, 73,037 in Mymensingh, 71,711 in Sylhet, and 58,664 in Barishal.
