Police arrested Moshtak Ahmed Ruhi, a former lawmaker from the Netrokona-1 constituency, from a house in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur on Wednesday.
Ruhi was associated with the activities-banned Awami League and served as a member of the party’s Netrokona district advisory council.

He lost his parliamentary seat after the president dissolved parliament following the fall of the Awami League government amid the student-led mass uprising in 2024.
