Vehicle collision in Gazipur leaves 3 killed, 3 injured

Three people were killed and three others critically injured in a head-on collision between a truck and an auto-rickshaw in the Dhirashramarea of Gazipur Metropolitan.
The accident occurred around 3:30 PM on Wednesday (September 23). Three individuals died at the scene following the collision. The injured were rescued and sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital.
Police from the Gazipur Metropolitan Sadar Police Station arrived at the scene after the accident. The identities of the deceased and the injured could not be immediately ascertained. The truck and auto-rickshaw involved in the accident have been taken into police custody.
Aminul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gazipur Metropolitan Sadar Police Station, said, " Three people died on the spot following a head-on collision between a truck and an auto-rickshaw in the Dhirashram area. Three others have been admitted to the hospital with critical injuries."
He added that the auto-rickshaw driver was detained following the accident. Police are present at the scene, and efforts are underway to identify the deceased. Legal proceedings regarding the incident are currently in progress.
