Rupankar, Joy Shahriar unveil ‘Gaaner Pothe Dekha’

Popular singers Rupankar Bagchi and Joy Shahriar have released a joint album titled Gaaner Pothe Dekha, featuring eight songs composed by Joy.

Released under the banner of Aajob Records, the album features four songs sung by Rupankar and four by Joy. The lyrics were written by Kabir Bokul, Shomeshwar Oli, Mahmud Manjur, Ishtiaque Ahmed, Maruf Hasan and Joy.

The album is available on Aajob Records’ YouTube channel and major streaming platforms, including Spotify, iTunes, Deezer and Shadhin Music.

Rupankar said he had been working with Joy for nearly a decade and described him as one of his favourite lyricists and composers in Bangladesh. He said he was happy that the songs they had created over the years were now being released together and hoped listeners would enjoy them.

Joy said Rupankar was an artiste he greatly admired and that working with him had been a source of joy and learning. He said Rupankar held a unique place among Bengali-language singers and described the album as a major achievement in his musical career.

The tracks are ‘Nei Je Proyojon’, ‘Kemon Kore’, ‘Aay Fire’, ‘Sholo Anai Michhe’, ‘Kemon Acho Tumi’, ‘Tumi’, ‘Oshukh’ and ‘Bhalo Achi’.
