DMP arrests 546 in 24 hours, files 62 cases

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 546 people and filed 62 cases during its regular operations across the capital in the last 24 hours.

DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Md Akter Hossain confirmed the information on Thursday (Sept 24).

Mirpur Division arrested 125 people, Tejgaon 109, Wari 77, Motijheel 73, Lalbagh 45, Gulshan 42, Ramna 37 and Uttara 34. DB and CTTC arrested three and one person respectively.

Police recovered parts of exploded cocktails, 4.12kg of cannabis, 2,196 yaba tablets, 51g of heroin, 30 bottles of foreign liquor, five mobile phones and a private car during the operations.
