BMD forecasts heavy rain across B’desh for four consecutive days

Rain and thunderstorms are likely to persist across various regions of Bangladesh for four consecutive days, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

Moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some areas during this period. Gusty winds are also expected to accompany the rain.

The weather office forecasts rainfall in different areas across all eight divisions from Thursday (September 24) through Sunday.

Over the 24 hours starting at 6:00 PM on Thursday, rain may occur at most places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, and Barishal divisions. Rain is also likely at many places in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions. Moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some locations.

On Friday, rain may occur at a few places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, and Chittagong divisions. One or two places in Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions may also see rain. Moderate to heavy rainfall is possible in certain areas.

On Saturday, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with temporary gusty winds may occur at one or two places across all eight divisions. Daytime temperatures across the country may rise by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius on this day.

The tendency for rain may continue on Sunday. Daytime temperatures may increase slightly, while nighttime temperatures may rise by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius across the country.
