The government has dismissed Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Hasan Arafat from service for allegedly remaining absent from his workplace without authorisation for an extended period and failing to comply with official orders.

Arafat, who was last serving as an additional superintendent of police at the Police Training Centre (PTC) in Khulna, had previously been suspended from service.
