Some areas of Dhaka to face gas crisis from 2PM

Gas supply will remain suspended for six hours in several areas of Dhaka on Saturday due to emergency pipeline repair work, according to Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd.

The supply disruption will remain in effect from 2PM to 8PM, affecting all categories of customers in the designated areas.

According to a Titas notice, gas supply will be suspended in Sarulia, East Boxnagar, Haji Nagar, Borobhanga, Konapara, Demra Staff Quarter, Amulia, Ranimahal, Nimai Kasari, Rasulnagar, Sukusi and areas stretching from the east side of Kanchpur Bridge to Sultana Kamal Bridge.

The shutdown will also affect Shonir Akhra, Matuail, Postogola, Jurain, Haji Khorshed Ali Road, Zia Sarani, Dhania, Pater Bagh, Japanese Bazar, Khuder Bazar, Dholairpar intersection, Madrasa Road, Pipe Road, Kajla intersection, Mirer Bagicha and Baghmara.

Titas said customers in adjacent areas may also experience low gas pressure during the repair period.

The gas distribution company apologised to customers for the temporary inconvenience.
