Over 50 detained from Jasad office over suspected AL links

More than 50 people were detained from the Jasad central office in Gulistan on suspicion of being activists of the banned Awami League, police said.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained them from the National Socialist Party (Jasad) office near the GPO intersection in Gulistan around 2:30 PM on Saturday (September 26).

DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) and spokesperson Md Akter Hossain confirmed the matter.

He said more than 50 people had been detained from Gulistan on suspicion of involvement in the activities of the banned Awami League, and that their identities were being verified.
