The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has instructed educational institutions not to spend money collected from students under one designated head on another.
In a letter signed by DSHE Deputy Director (General Administration) Shamim Al Mamun on Tuesday, the authorities instructed principals of government colleges and headteachers of government secondary schools to remain cautious about the matter.
The letter said that, in line with a September 13 directive from the Ministry of Education, money collected from students must be spent according to the rules applicable to the respective heads.
Institutions were instructed to ensure that funds collected for a particular head are not spent under any other head.
