NESCO announces 9hr power shutdown for line maintenance

Power supply will remain suspended for nine consecutive hours in several areas of Rangpur today, Friday (October 2), due to urgent maintenance work.
The announcement was made in a press release issued on Thursday (October 1) by the Executive Engineer’s office under Sales and Distribution Division-2 of Northern Electricity Supply PLC (NESCO), Rangpur.
According to the release, electricity supply will be cut off from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM under the 11 kV Circuit House feeder of NESCO’s Sales and Distribution Division-2 to facilitate the trimming of tree branches near power lines and necessary repair work.
NESCO authorities stated that power supply will be restored promptly if maintenance work finishes ahead of schedule and expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers.
