Cleanliness drive against dengue in Khulna

As part of the nationwide "Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Drive 2026", a special cleanliness campaign is being conducted every Saturday in Khulna.

On Saturday, under the leadership of Khulna Deputy Commissioner Hure Jannat, the drive was carried out with the cooperation of district administration officials and staff, District Rover Scouts, Girl Guides, the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and BD Clean.

The campaign covered the Khulna Collectorate premises as well as the grounds of several educational institutions: Nazrul Nagar Secondary Girls' School, Haji Abdul Malek Secondary School, Government Laboratory High School, Phulbari BK Government Primary School, Unmesh Government Primary School, Khanabari Municipal Government Primary School and Senpara Jahir Uddin Ganobidyapith Government Primary School.

The initiative aimed to remove accumulated waste and destroy dengue breeding grounds within these educational institutions and their surrounding areas. Greater focus was also placed on raising public awareness about maintaining a clean environment to prevent dengue.

Additional Deputy Commissioners from the district administration were present during the drive.
