A wintry feel has begun to set in across northern Bangladesh ahead of the late autumn season, with dew forming on grass and leaves and light fog covering rural roads in the early morning.
For nearly two weeks, temperatures in Nilphamari and other northern districts have remained between 25°C and 28°C. Daylight hours have also been getting shorter, while a mild chill can be felt from midnight to morning.
The changing weather has created a picturesque scene in the countryside, with dew-covered grass, paddy ears and leaves glistening in the sunlight. Light fog and dew have added to the beauty of the rural landscape.
Meanwhile, farmers have become busy with winter crop cultivation. Farmers in different areas of Kishoreganj upazila have started cultivating early potatoes and winter vegetables.
Many farmers have already begun taking cauliflower, radish, bottle gourd greens, yardlong beans and red amaranth to local markets.
