The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has raised the consumer-level price of autogas used in vehicles by Tk 11.53 per litre to Tk 84.62.
The previous price was Tk 73.09 per litre. The new rate will take effect from 6:00 PM on Sunday and remain in force until further notice, according to a BERC notification.
The commission said the October price adjustment was based on Saudi Aramco’s Contract Price (Saudi CP) for propane and butane. The prices were set at $680 and $730 per metric tonne respectively.
Considering a propane-butane ratio of 35:65, the weighted average Saudi CP stood at $712.50 per metric tonne for October.
