Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh in Dhaka Imran Haider met Kazi Md Fazlul Karim, BPM-Sheba, Rector of the Police Staff College, Dhaka, at the latter’s office on Monday, discussing ways to deepen cooperation between the two countries in police training and institutional capacity building.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in professional training, capacity-building programmes and institutional linkages between Bangladesh and Pakistan, according to a press release.
The two sides also discussed opportunities for sharing expertise, knowledge and best practices in law enforcement and professional development, the release said.
During his visit, the Pakistan envoy toured various facilities of the Police Staff College and observed its training and academic activities. He also interacted with course participants and exchanged views on professional training and capacity-building.
The visit highlighted the scope for further cooperation between the law-enforcement institutions of the two countries, particularly in the areas of training, skills development and institutional exchange.
