Bangladesh, Algeria move to deepen bilateral energy cooperation

 
Algerian Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdelouahab Saïdani met with Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmood and Power Division Secretary Md Ziaul Haq at the minister’s office in Dhaka on Sunday to discuss energy cooperation between the two countries.

The discussions focused on potential memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cooperation, as well as preparations for the minister’s upcoming visit to Algeria, says a press release. 

The meeting reaffirmed Bangladesh and Algeria’s commitment to strengthening their longstanding bilateral ties and expanding cooperation in the energy sector.

Md. Ziaul Haq, secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division (EMRD), was also present at the meeting.
