Citizens Bank reviews Q3 performance, sets business strategies

Citizens Bank PLC held its Quarterly Business Review Meeting for September 2026 at its head office in Motijheel, Dhaka, recently to review business performance during the third quarter of 2026.

The meeting focused on formulating strategies to address emerging business challenges and achieve the bank’s targets for the remaining months of the year, says a press release.

Alamgir Hossain, managing director of Citizens Bank PLC, presided over the meeting. The session reviewed the bank’s business performance, highlighting key achievements, identifying areas for improvement and assessing progress towards its strategic objectives.

Participants discussed the prevailing macroeconomic situation, emerging challenges and their potential implications for the banking sector. They emphasised proactive business strategies, stronger risk management and improved operational efficiency to navigate the changing economic landscape.

Particular attention was given to expanding business in the SME, agriculture and other priority sectors, recognising their role in promoting inclusive economic development and national economic growth.

Deputy Managing Directors Md Mostafizur Rahman and Md Abdul Latif, along with heads of divisions and branches from across the country, attended the meeting and shared insights, challenges and strategies for sustainable growth.
