Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 981st professional career goal as Al Nassr beat Uzbekistan’s Neftchi Fergana 3-1 in the AFC Champions League, moving him just 19 goals away from the 1,000-goal milestone.

Angelo opened the scoring in the 30th minute before Ronaldo doubled the lead near halftime with an assist from Ayman Yahya.

Neftchi pulled one back through Alisher Odilov in the second half, but Anvarjon Gofurov’s own goal sealed Al Nassr’s victory.

Ronaldo has now scored in consecutive matches despite recent controversy surrounding his departure from Portugal’s national team camp.
