Moushumi gets US green card after three-year wait

Published : Monday, 19 October, 2026 at 5:14 PM

Observer Online Report

Popular Dhallywood actress Moushumi has received permanent residency in the United States, nearly three years after moving to the country.

The actress announced the news while attending a programme marking the founding anniversary of Channel i in the United States on Saturday.

Moushumi moved to the US in mid-2023 and has been living there since then. During her stay, she has been looking after her daughter Faiza’s education and her ailing mother’s treatment.

Without permanent residency, she reportedly faced restrictions on travelling to and from the country. The green card will allow her to live and work in the US as a permanent resident.

Green card holders may also apply for US citizenship later if they meet the required eligibility criteria.
