UEFA has given FIFA President Gianni Infantino until November 2 to release key documents and answer questions about the organisation’s governance and decision-making, BBC Sport reported on Monday.
The deadline follows concerns over FIFA’s proposed private investment plan involving World Cup-related assets. Infantino apologised for the proposal at a FIFA Council meeting last week but did not fully explain how it was developed. UEFA has also raised questions about FIFA’s Peace Prize and the suspended ban involving United States forward Folarin Balogun.
In an eight-page document, UEFA General Secretary Theodore Theodoridis said several fundamental questions remained unanswered. UEFA has not specified what action it would take if FIFA fails to meet the deadline.
