Bangladeshi Umrah pilgrims affected by a Houthi attack at Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh airport are scheduled to return home tonight.
They are expected to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:20pm on Tuesday.
The government has arranged a reception at the airport’s VIP lounge. Senior government officials, Islamic scholars and relatives of the pilgrims are expected to welcome them.
The returning pilgrims will also speak to journalists at the airport.
On October 10, a Bangladeshi member of the Umrah group was killed in the attack, while several others were injured.
