Free medical camp held at Sreepur

SREEPUR, GAZIPUR, Oct 23: Prof Dr SM Rafiqul Islam Bacchu, MP, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, distributed educational supplies and tree saplings and attended a free medical camp in Nagar Hawla Village of Sreepur Upazila of the district.

The programme, organised by the Lions Club of Maona, began at 11 am on Friday. Attendees included Dr Md Zahirul Islam Shakil, Secretary General of the Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB); Lions Club District Governor Dr Asadullah; SM Mahful Hasan Hannan, President of the Sreepur Press Club and Gazipur District Correspondent for Bonik Barta; and Enamul Haque Moni, Convener of the Gazipur Union unit of the BNP, along with Lions Club members and local political leaders.

Local organiser Mazaharul Islam said the club had been engaged in humanitarian activities for years. As part of those efforts, educational supplies and tree saplings were distributed to more than 100 students, while a free medical camp operated throughout the day.
