Mehazabien to make guest appearance in ‘Khalnayak’

Actress Mehazabien Chowdhury is set to make a guest appearance in Khalnayak, starring Afran Nisho and Tama Mirza.

She secretly took part in the film’s shooting in Kolkata, according to multiple sources involved in the project. The filmmakers and production company reportedly want to keep her appearance a surprise until the film’s release and have yet to make an official announcement.

The film will mark Mehazabien’s third feature film. She previously played lead roles in Priyo Maloti and Saba.

Khalnayak is the debut feature film of director Vicky Zahed, who is known for producing diverse content for television and streaming platforms. The filmmakers have maintained secrecy surrounding the story and the characters played by the cast.

Shooting for the film has been completed in Dhaka and Kolkata. The cast also includes Shahiduzzaman Selim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Intekhab Dinar and Kolkata-based actress Priyanka Sarkar.

Production company SVF Alpha-i Entertainment Limited had earlier planned to release the film towards the end of this year. However, its release this year remains uncertain. If everything goes as planned, Khalnayak may hit theatres during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr in 2027.
