Police have arrested two individuals in connection with a robbery at an electrical supply store in Kaliganj, Gazipur. During the operation, authorities recovered a truck used in the robbery, a pickup truck used to transport and sell the stolen goods, and electrical cables valued at approximately Tk. 500,000.

This information was shared by Sheikh Muttajul Islam, Additional Superintendent of Police for the Kaliganj Circle, during a press conference held at the Kaliganj Police Station on Wednesday afternoon (October 28).

According to the police, the robbery took place between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM on October 14 at "Subahan Enterprise," a shop located opposite Boalia Mor in the Tumlia area of Kaliganj Municipality. The perpetrators cut the locks on the shop's shutters, entered the premises, and loaded various types of electrical wires, cables, and equipment onto a truck. Cash kept in the shop was also stolen.

Following the incident, the shop owner, Salauddin Akond, 36, filed a case at the Kaliganj Police Station against unidentified individuals. Although the case was initially registered as a theft, subsequent investigations led the police to reclassify it as a robbery.
