Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has not ruled out the possibility of a renewed war against Iran, but said Tehran is prepared to deal with any situation.
Araghchi made the remarks in an interview with Al Jazeera on Saturday.
He also said, an Iranian delegation had held talks in Qatar, but Tehran had no plans for direct negotiations with the United States. He dismissed reports of direct meetings between Iranian officials and US representatives as incorrect.
Meanwhile, US media reports suggest that Washington could launch an attack on Iran on November 4.
Against this backdrop, Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has reportedly instructed the country's armed forces to retaliate against any new attack without regard to geographical boundaries.
He issued the directive during a meeting with senior military commanders.
