Carlos Alcaraz overcame a slow start to defeat Novak Djokovic 2-6, 6-2, 6-3, 7-5 on Rod Laver Arena on Sunday, capturing his first Australian Open title and becoming the youngest man ever to complete a career Grand Slam.

The 20-year-old Spaniard dominated after the opening set, denying the 38-year-old Serbian legend a record-breaking 25th major.

With his seventh Grand Slam triumph, Alcaraz cemented his status as the undisputed world number one and announced himself as the next generation’s tennis superstar.
