Couple, one other killed in separate road crashes

At least three people were killed and more than a dozen injured in separate road accidents in Sirajganj and Cox's Bazar on Friday.
In Sirajganj's Raiganj Upazila, a brick-laden truck rammed an auto-van from behind on Bhuiyagati-Nimgachi regional road at Khaichala area around 9am. 
The van was crushed, killing passenger couple Jalal Uddin and his wife Monowara Begum of Kumarlullu village in Tarash Upazila on the spot. Four others, including the van driver Magrib Ali, were seriously injured.
Earlier the same morning, a passenger minitomtom collided head-on with a Palki bus on the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf highway at Natmura Para in Hnila union. Tomtom driver Md Lalu, 45, of West Leda Village, died instantly. At least eight others, including pedestrians, sustained injuries.
