
Army personnel arrested an individual impersonating a military intelligence officer and recovered cocktails and bullets from Satkhira Sadar upazila on Tuesday night.
The arrested has been identified as Md Abu Musa, 35, a resident of Rasulpur area in the upazila.
According to sources, Abu Musa contacted Satkhira student coordinator Md Nazmul Hossain Roni over mobile, claiming that cocktails and bullets were hidden in a bamboo bush in Nathpara village of Alipur Union.
After that, Roni immediately informed Satkhira DGFI’s (Directorate General of Forces Intelligence) sub-division.
Being informed, a team of army officials conducted a drive and arrested Abu Musa from Taltola Eidgah area.
After initial interrogation, army officials recovered five cocktails and bullets for five pistols from the bamboo grove around 2:00 AM.
Satkhira Sadar Army Camp official Major Mushfiq Ahmed confirmed the recovery and said that the arrested, along with the recovered items, were later handed over to Satkhira Sadar Police Station for further legal action.
