3 robbers held with arms-ammo in Laxmipur

Laxmipur's Chandraganj police have  arrested three robbers from Mandari Bazar in Sadar upazila with arms.

A locally made LG gun and five rounds of cartridges were recovered from their possessions.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Hossain Mohammad Raihan Kazemi confirmed the matter on Saturday morning.

The arrested are Belal Hossain, 48, of Panchgharia village in Chatkhil, Noakhali, Md Arif, 36, of Purba Char Manasa village in Laxmipur Sadar upazila, and Md Fahim 21, of Rajibpur village in ward number 13 of the municipality.

The police official said that Chandraganj police conducted a raid based on a secret information and arrested three robbers from a CNG on the paved road in front of the fish market next to Mandari Bazar Bridge. Arms and bullets were recovered from them. 

Legal action is under process against them, he added.
