MYMENSINGH, Mar 10: The tri-annual conference of Tarakhanda Upazila Press Club in Mymensingh was held. The conference took place on Friday at the Upazila Press Club office, located on Tarakhanda School Road.
The event was presided over by the Upazila Press Club President, Abdul Malek Army, and conducted by General Secretary Jahangir Master. Agriculturist Dr. Mokhlesur Rahman attended the event as the chief guest. Special guests included Rashidul Haque Swapan, Head Teacher of Tarakhanda Multilateral High School, and Abul Kalam Azad, Joint General Secretary of Mymensingh North Jubo Dal.
During the conference, a 15-member Executive Committee for the next three years was unanimously approved. Toukir Ahmed Shahin (The Daily Observer) was named president, Azaharul Islam Liton (The Daily Ittefaq) was named general secretary, and Fazle Elahi Dhaly (The Daily Inqilab) was named Senior Vice-President.
The other committee members are: Vice-President Jahangir Master, Joint General Secretary Zakir Hossain, Organising Secretary Mofiz Uddin Talukdar, Joint Organising Secretary Aminul Haque Roman, Treasurer Alamgir Hossain, Office Secretary Anwar Hossain Mondol, Publicity and Publications Secretary Zahirul Islam, Women's Affairs Secretary Selina Akhtar, and members A. Sattar, Shafiqul Islam Rasel, Abu Saeed, and Oli Ullah.
