Trader fined in B’baria for hoarding 5, 200 litres of fuel oil

Upazila administration has fined a trader for illegally stockpiling a large amount of diesel oil in Nasirnagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.

On Wednesday, a drive was conducted in the Purbabhag Notun Bazar area of Purbabhag Union of the upazila and 5,200 liters of diesel oil were seized from a store called "Selim Store".

Trader Md Faisal, 30, of Purbabhag village of the upazila was fined Tk 10,000 and immediately recovered. 

In this regard, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sahel Ahmed said that the seized diesel oil was later sold at the government-determined price based on the demand of the common people in the Upazila Parishad premises.
