3 motorcycle theft gang members arrested in Munshiganj

Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested three members of an inter-district motorcycle theft gang in Munshiganj and three stolen motorcycles also have been recovered during the drive.

The arrested trio are Nasir Sheikh, Sagar Khan and Tutul Mridha.

Munshiganj Police Superintendent (SP) Md. Menhazul  Alam  disclosed the development at a press conference on Wednesday and said that the arrested people had been stealing motorcycles from Munshiganj and various neighboring districts for a long time. 

Based on secret information police was able to arrest them by conducting drives at various places. Three stolen motorcycles were recovered from their custody during the drive.

The SP also mentioned that police activities are ongoing to check whether anyone else is involved in the gang. 

''We are determined to bring the culprits under the law. Our special operation will continue to root out the motorcycle theft gang,'' added the SP.

He further  added  that preparations are underway to file a case against the trio and they will be introduced before the court after the legal process is completed.
