An Australian parliamentary delegation, led by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, held a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at his office in Dhaka on Thursday.
The 13-member delegation, headed by Milton Dick, met Tarique Rahman at the Prime Minister’s Office located in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
According to the Prime Minister’s Press Secretary, AAM Saleh Shibly, the meeting was a courtesy call between the visiting Australian parliamentary team and the Prime Minister, who also serves as Leader of the House.
Several senior Bangladeshi officials were present during the meeting, including Deputy Speaker Kayser Kamal, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam.
