Fire breaks out in Banani high-rise building

A fire broke out in a clothing warehouse on the 11th floor of a multi-storey building in Banani area of Dhaka on Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred around 6:30 PM at building no 44, located in front of the kitchen market on road no 12 in Banani.

Being informed, five units from the Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the scene.

Fire Service headquarter media cell official Anwarul Islam confirmed the information and said that a total of five units actively engaged in firefighting efforts.

No immediate reports of casualties or the extent of damage were available at the time of reporting. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
