Student electrocuted in Noakhali

NOAKHALI, May 6: A school student died after being electrocuted in Char Laxmi Village of Mohammadpur Union in Subarnachar Upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon. His mother was seriously injured while trying to save him.

The deceased Md Faisal, 17, was the son of Md Yasin Bepari, a resident of the village and a class 10 student of Char Clark High School.

It is known that Faisal inadvertently came into contact with a live electric wire while working at his homestead in the afternoon. As a result, he got electrocuted. As his mother ran to save him and touched him, she too was seriously injured. 

Later, locals quickly rescued them and took them to the 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital. The doctor on duty there declared Faisal dead. His mother is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital with serious injuries.
