120 structures demolished in Noakhali

NOAKHALI, May 15: A drive conducted by Md Khorshed Alam Chowdhury, Executive Magistrate and Divisional Land Property Officer of the Chattogram Division of Bangladesh Railway, recently demolished 120 illegal structures built on the railway land from the Topkar Pole in the Ganipur area to the food warehouse area of Chowmuhani Municipality in Begumganj Upazila of the district. 

According to the sources of the drive, illegal structures had been built by occupying railway land for a long time. These structures have been demolished to reclaim government land. The authorities have said that such drives will continue in the future.
