2 children drown in two districts

Two children drowned in Fakirhat Upazila of Bagerhat District and Kaptai Upazila of Rangamati District in two days.
FAKIRHAT, BAGERHAT: A child drowned in a pond in her maternal uncle's house in Maskata Village of Betaga Union in Fakirhat Upazila of the district on Sunday morning.
Deceased Maria Khatun, 8, was the daughter of Rezaul Sheikh of Islamabad Village in Rampal Upazila of Bagerhat.
KAPTAI, RANGAMATI: A six-year-old child drowned in the Karnaphuli River while bathing with her grandfather in Wagga Union No. 9 in Kaptai Upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.
Deceased Muskan, the daughter of Md Musa of the area, drowned in the river when she was bathing with her grandfather Md Yusuf.
