A foot-over bridge vneeded at Gazipur

Dear sir,

A foot-over bridge is needed to cross the road safely at Gazipur Columbia adjacent to Dhaka-Mymensingh highway. The people of this area have been demanding to set up foot-over bridge for a couple of years. The vehicles in this area are running fast. In spite of having a four lane road, there is no foot-over bridge at this station.

This is originally a heavy industrial region. Around one million people live here seeking a job or for employment. This region is also called the gateway to Dhaka. It is the busiest road where thousands of heavy vehicles run fast for exporting and importing goods.

On the other hand, the road remains dark at night because of no traffic light on both sides of the road. There are no speed breakers, or zebra crossing at the nearby stations. Moreover, when the garment workers go on break, the road becomes crowded for crossing.

I would like to draw attention to the authorities concerned for setting up a road safety facility.
