The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) fined Ad-din Hospital in the capital’s Moghbazar a total of 300,000 taka during a mobile court operation on Sunday.
The fines were imposed for various irregularities discovered during a three-hour inspection conducted between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
DSCC Executive Magistrate Aminul Islam led the drive, accompanied by regional health officials, safe food inspectors, and police personnel.
The hospital was penalized 200,000 taka under the Safe Food Act and an additional 100,000 taka under the Consumer Rights Protection Act.
Authorities stated that the inspection was part of routine efforts to ensure institutional compliance with health and safety standards.
The penalties follow recent scrutiny of the hospital after reports of newborn fatalities at the facility earlier this month.
