IUB tops among pvt univs in BD

Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has ranked top among private universities in Bangladesh on the Nature Index institutional rankings.

It ranked fifth among Bangladeshi institutions and third among universities in the country, according to the research benchmarking platform, the university said in a press release."

It also came top in the Physical Sciences category.

The Nature Index tracks research output published in a select group of leading international journals in the natural and health sciences.

The index is developed by Nature Research Intelligence, part of Springer Nature, the global publishing group behind the scientific journal Nature.

The current rankings are based on research outputs published during the 12-month period from Feb 1, 2025 to Jan 31, 2026.

IUB recorded a Nature Index Share of 0.63 from four indexed research articles. �"bdnews24
