Bangladesh create history defeating Pakistan in T20 World Cup

Bangladesh female cricket team had never recorded multiple wins in the Women's T20 World Cup before. 

This time, they have achieved that feat against Pakistan. The Bangladesh women's cricket team secured their second victory in the T20 World Cup by defeating Pakistan by 23 runs.

After winning the toss in Southampton and choosing to bat first, Bangladesh scored 123 runs for 6 wickets. In reply, Pakistan's batting lineup collapsed and they were restricted to 100 runs for 8 wickets. 

However, they had looked likely to win at the start. At 7.3 overs, their score was 49 for 1. After that, the innings fell apart. They lost 7 wickets for just 39 runs! For Pakistan, Muneeba Ali top-scored with 25 runs. Gul Feroza made 23 runs.

Sanjida Akter Meghla took 3 wickets for 21 runs. Nahida Akter also claimed 3 wickets for 18 runs. Rabeya Khan and Ritu Moni took one wicket each.

With the bat, Swarna Akter, who remained unbeaten on 39 runs from 22 balls, was named Player of the Match. It was her innings that took Bangladesh to a competitive total. In addition, Nigar Sultana made a notable 36 runs from 38 balls. Sobhana Mostary scored 22 runs from 19 balls.
