Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Tarique Rahman, arrives in Beijing, China at 5:35PM local time on Wednesday.

Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Tarique Rahman, arrived in Beijing at 5:35PM Bangladesh time on Wednesday after traveling from Dalian by a high-speed (bullet) train. 

He left Dalian at 12:00PM Bangladesh time earlier the same day, accompanied by his spouse, Dr. Zubaida Rahman.

Earlier in the day, the PM attended the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Summer Davos held at the Dalian International Conference Centre at 10:00AM local time.

The 17th Annual Meeting of the New Champions brought together several global leaders, including the prime ministers of Guinea, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Mongolia, and Montenegro. 

In total, more than 1,700 delegates from over 90 countries and regions participated, representing political, business, academic, and media sectors.

The PM’s participation in the Summer Davos is expected to help expand Bangladesh’s opportunities for foreign investment and employment generation, while also enabling the country to benefit from international best practices and global experience-sharing to further strengthen national capacity.

Tarique Rahman arrived in Dalian, China, on Monday, June 22, 2026, marking the start of his official visit.
