PIROJPUR, June 27: A day-long job fair was held on the premises of the District Shilpakala Academy in Pirojpur town on Saturday, offering employment opportunities to job seekers from the district and nearby areas.

The fair was jointly organised by the Pirojpur District Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the PRAN-RFL Group with the aim of creating employment opportunities for young people and facilitating direct recruitment by one of the country's leading industrial conglomerates.

Zilla Parishad Administrator Principal Alamgir Hossain inaugurated the event as the chief guest, while President of the District Chamber of Commerce and Industries Gazi Ohiduzzman Lavlu presided over the opening session.

A large number of job seekers, including fresh graduates, diploma holders and experienced candidates, attended the fair from the morning. Many submitted their resumes and took part in preliminary interviews conducted by company representatives.

Organisers said PRAN-RFL Group plans to recruit more than 500 employees in various categories through the recruitment drive. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for the available positions.

Participants welcomed the initiative, expressing hope that similar job fairs would be organised regularly in the district to expand employment opportunities for local youth and reduce the need to travel to larger cities in search of work.
