PAIKGACHHA, KHULNA, July 1: Paikgachha Municipality has declared a proposed budget of Tk 52,19,56,792 for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.
Municipal Administrator and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury declared the proposed budget at the under-construction municipal building on Tuesday afternoon. The budget includes an expenditure of Tk 51,55,79,253. In addition, the budget shows a surplus of Tk 63,77,538.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Ahsanara Binte Ahmed and Officer-in-Charge of the Police Station Golam Kibria were special guests at the event. Water Aid Bangladesh representative Sumon Saha and Nabalok Parishad Project Officer Mukta Biswas moderated the programme. It was also addressed by Municipal Executive Officer Lalu Sardar, Chief Assistant Ziaur Rahman, Sub-Assistant Engineer Lincoln Ali, Mrinal Kanti Sana, Uttam Ghosh, Shahin Hossain, journalists Md Abdul Aziz, SM Alauddin Sohag, Snehendu Bikash, Prakash Ghosh Bidhan, Abul Hashem, Shahriar Kabir, Shahzaman Badsha, Imdadul Haque, Nabalok Parishad Project Manager Omar Faruk Jewel and Monitoring Officer Mahbubur Rahman.
