He said the government would continue such humanitarian initiatives to support vulnerable people and help ease their financial hardship.

The financial assistance was provided under a special allocation from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund at a programme held at the hallroom of Kabirhat Government Model High School.

The grants were distributed under the supervision of the lawmaker. According to the organisers, the beneficiaries included 140 distressed women from seven unions of Kabirhat upazila, 40 from Kabirhat municipality, and another 40 from Ashwadia and Neowazpur unions of Noakhali Sadar upazila.

Addressing the programme as the chief guest, Fakhrul Islam said the government remains committed to standing beside disadvantaged people through various welfare initiatives. He said such financial assistance programmes are intended to provide relief to those facing economic hardship and ensure that support reaches the most deserving families.

He also urged local representatives and community leaders to identify eligible beneficiaries so that government assistance can be distributed fairly and effectively.
